West Morris Central Boys’ Soccer Minutes of Parents’ Club Meeting held November 13, 2007 Attendees: Chris Goodyear, Suzanne Goodyear, Sue DiSalvo, Connie Stoll, Cameron Esemplare, Tony Germinario, Denise Magnusen, Roberta Diaz, Andrew Pytlar, Mike Drzewinski, Pat Guarini, Nan Guarini, Renee Weinstein The meeting was called to order by Chris Goodyear at 7:36 pm. Suzanne Goodyear motioned to approve the minutes of the October 16, 2007, meeting, with an amendment regarding the amount to charge per person for the banquet. It was decided to charge $40.00 per person to cover the costs of extra guests, faculty, etc. Nan Guarini seconded the motion. President’s Report: The season is over and we are happy to have a winning record. Tonight’s meeting will focus on a quick review of the banquet. Treasurer’s Report: The budget was updated as of today. The only changes in the account since last month’s meeting are the expenses resulting from the purchase of Senior gifts and the club’s gift for Coach Ferreri’s new baby. The focus now is on the banquet and year-end issues. Senior gifts were purchased, and there are still more banquet-related expenses to come. Committee Reports: Banquet: The senior parents have met twice, and plans are on course in preparation for the banquet. Isabel Boho is handling the Freshmen team video. We will follow up on getting someone to cover the JV team video. Paul Bowers is doing the Varsity team video. Extra CD’s of the Varsity team video will be made available for purchase. (The Freshmen and JV teams may do this as well; it’s basically up to the person doing the video.) We will need a couple of Junior class parents to arrive early to check people in at the banquet. Connie Stoll and Renee Weinstein agreed to do this. The dress code for the boys at the banquet is shirt and tie, dress/khaki pants and shoes. The class representatives will send out an e-mail to everyone regarding the dress code. Clothing: The only clothing we have left is three size medium polo shirts. Pat Guarini has clothing order forms we can use for next year. We need to find a new clothing supplier going forward. A couple of possibilities were mentioned, and Denise Magnusen has prior experience doing similar ordering of clothing so she has some ideas on where to go. All events went well (the car wash, clothing sales, etc.). However, the JV team fell short on the sub sandwiches in that there were two instances where they did not receive sandwiches when they should have. A reimbursement will be made to each JV player to cover this. New Business: Non-seniors need to look toward the future of the club. This is the last meeting before the end of the year. The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2008, when financial files and equipment will be handed over and next year’s officers will be elected. An e-mail will go out to the entire group reminding everyone of the next meeting. Connie Stoll motioned to adjourn the meeting. Suzanne Goodyear seconded the motion. The meeting was adjourned at 8:23 pm.
